The E-TECH 2025 Awards celebrated the technological excellence of the Girona region during a gala held on Monday afternoon at the Josep Irla Auditorium in Girona. Among the eleven winners of the evening, ST3DT stood out prominently, receiving the Award for Best Emerging Technological Project, solidifying its position as one of the most innovative initiatives in the area.
The ST3DT project, based on tubular 3D stereolithography for the development of next-generation vascular stents, was recognized for its disruptive potential and its technologically advanced approach with direct impact on the biomedical sector.
The gala, organized by AENTEG with the support of the Girona Provincial Council, gathered key authorities including the Mayor of Girona, Lluc Salellas; the Second Vice President of the Provincial Council, Gemma Geis; the Delegate of the Catalan Government in Girona, Xavier Guitart; and leaders from the region’s business and technology ecosystem.
Now in its 19th edition, the E-TECH Awards feature ten categories that spotlight companies, institutions, and professionals driving the development of ICT in Girona. Alongside the award for ST3DT, other initiatives were honored, such as WeTown and Infocaça —joint winners of the award for Best Local Government Initiative— as well as projects in artificial intelligence, sustainability, communication, digital marketing, and long-standing technological leadership.
With this recognition, ST3DT reinforces its position as one of the most promising emerging technological projects in both the Girona and Catalan innovation landscapes.
